For open-minded fans of dark and disgusting music, this album is a blessing.
“Temple of the Adversarial Fire” often does not simply follow a pop song formula consisting of the traditional verse-bridge-chorus parts. The songs feature arrangements that flow and evolve as each riff closes. Each transition marks an indistinguishable final chapter in a song segment. This album is mostly comprised of pieces, not standard songs. However, it is the way how those pieces have been put together that makes this album stand out from most of its peers.
The production is more or less flawless with the perfect balance between power and transparency and a certain level of rawness. The growled vocals are devastating and haunting complimenting the instrumentation and bleak atmosphere of this album. Rounded off by a stunning cover this one should find its way to a lot of collections.
