Unlike Caverne, which was an atmospheric BM act with a distinct dark flavour, Nécropole plays clear-toned straightforward melodic black metal in the style of classic 1990s second-wave BM. Seven songs go for broke with six-stringed tremolo fury, ably supported and powered by throbbing blast beats, rolling drum work and clashing cymbal workouts, while Amertume rants and shrieks English-language lyrics in hoarse ragged tones.

Really impressive record.
