From a similar vein to that from which melo-black masters Dissection emerged, did Lord Belial rise, another Swedish melodic black metal outfit, and Enter the Moonlight Gate is perhaps their magnum opus. The band has the very characteristic sound of second wave black metal, combined with added melodic and at times even symphonic elements, all culminating in a record that is both unique and conforming at the same time.
