Musically, the album blends classic heavy metal symphonic influences, drawing comparisons to Meat Loaf and 70s/80s AOR, while maintaining the melancholic tone that defines the Romantik series. “It’s probably down to my love of Bat Out of Hell,” von Lothringen notes, adding that Romantik III is more compact and direct than its predecessors.

The album features Fabio Alessandrini (Annihilator, Enforcer, Bonfire) on drums, Sam Plekhanov on bass, and Mat Plekhanov (Red Eye Temple, Dragony) on guitar solos. Additional choir contributions come from Maria Nesh, Sam and Mat Plekhanov, and von Lothringen, recorded at RET Records Vienna.

Romantik III was mixed and mastered by Olof Wikstrand (Enforcer) at Hvergelmer Studio & Music Production, with artwork by Aaron Lawrance and photography by Emma Szabó.
