The debut-album from Silhoutette from France.
This album does an effective job crafting an ominous melancholic black metal atmosphere.
Silhouette have an excellent pair of vocalists: Ondine's ethereal vocals enhance the overall atmosphere and add beauty to contrast against the anguish and pain brought by Yharnam's DBSM-ish screams. These type of screams can be hit or miss for me, but Yharnam's are spectacular, both in their clarity and ability to convey emotion. The two styles complement each other surprisingly well, particularly when they're layered together, as they often are during choruses.
Midnight blue vinyl with black smoke LP in a quality Gatefold, limited to 200 copies.
