Lord Belials musical style changed somewhat on this record. After playing quite melodic black metal, they play now a more complex black-death metal on Angelgrinder.

Lord Belial did not get rid of the melodic passages at all, but kept and included some of them here and there. Nonetheless, now these melodic passages make sense insofar as they contrast with the brutal and fast passages. And many feel Lord Belial achieved musical maturity through this album.
