Goatmoon return with the highly anticipated sequel to 2017's "Stella Polaris", the evocatively named "What Once Was... Shall Be Again". The offering results in Goatmoon's best album since 2011's "Varjot", and a strong addition to the band's catalogue.
"What Once Was..." starts where "Stella Polaris" left us, but partly brings back the punkish attitude and more aggressive songwriting of Goatmoon's first three albums. The result is a product that both fans of early and newer Goatmoon stuff alike can surely enjoy. While avoiding the excessive mellowness of its predecessor, "What Once Was..." still retains a highly melodic approach, but it's much more varied and can boast a stronger songwriting.
Black LP.
