Drowning the Light have come full circle, from obscure beginnings and a myriad of releases to produce a fulfilling and comprehensive Black Metal release. It’s a long journey and may not grab you completely on first listen, but like all great albums when given the time the songs expand, allowing you can come back for repeat listens without getting bored. Definitely one to restore your faith, DTL is a band who still cares for making real Black Metal.
