Shaarimoth goes old school with Morbid Angel to find the true elements of death metal, and they draw inspirations from black metal in search of a grim atmosphere. And the result is very appealing. It serves for a very interesting mix of blast beats, mesmerizing ambience and technical guitar work. The vocals focus mainly on growls, to occasionally go off into spine-shattering screams.
