So ultimately what we have here is simply amazing death doom rich in variety and melodies, with romantic and depressing parts created in a very enthralling and effortless fashion, with a sound design that really takes you back to those early times. This is a feat that has not been done in quite while. I am very much looking forward to the next album!

The authenticity is definitely there, thanks to the wonderful retro production, which actually sounds as if "Hymns To The Moon" was created at that time. The rather minimalist guitars also speak a language whose distinctive dialect has almost been forgotten by now, but should be included in the death/doom vocabulary again.
