Purveyor of cosmic horrors, angelic symphonies, crushing darkness and grotesque sonics. Den Edele Dood sits somewhere amidst all this, in a seething morass of vibrational black metal, soaring synth lines that push it towards the ether, only to be dragged into subterranean and choked with a claustrophobic airlessness as punishment for grazing the stratosphere. Somewhere betwixt heaven and hell the battle of Den Edele Dood is conducted - between the flaming sword and the scorched earth of the album title.
